wedding photos. part one.
finally. some pretty great photos from that wedding i told you about. custom weddings are one of the best parts of my job, even if i like to complain about how much work they are.
the desserts for this special day included cupcakes, whoopie pies, a cake for cutting, a s’mores bar AND i also made the wedding favors (two apples and a jar of toffee sauce.) tons of work, but one of the best weddings i’ve been a part of. love! sweet love!

part two of photos (s’mores bar & favors) coming tomorrow!

it’s what i do.

i’m hoping that by tomorrow morning i will have recovered from my weekend. with the husband out of town and a business to run i don’t really have a choice…so hopefully my brain and sleepy body will cooperate.

the big deal of the weekend? a wedding. i know, i know - i told you all about it. but, it was a super sweet ordeal. sweet bride, sweet groom and an insane amount of dessert.

here’s a snap of ONE of the treat tables:

headed towards the wedding finish line…

i have a list of recipes i want to tell you about. but i can’t. not yet.

my life has been consumed by a wedding we’re working on - taking place [finally!] this weekend. don’t get me wrong, i love to do this stuff. i don’t mind tedious projects, and taking on more than i should is my usual way of doing things. but! i will certainly be breathing a sigh of relief when all the work is done and people can actually start enjoying the treats i’ve been working away on.

the 200 apples? for this wedding.
the 100 jars of sticky toffee sauce? for this wedding.
the 400 marshmallows - in two different flavors? for this wedding.
the gallon of fudge sauce? for this wedding.
the 250 graham crackers? for this wedding.
the 100 whoopie pies? for this wedding.
not to mention the 300 cupcakes AND wedding cake we’re working on at the bakery.

i kind of feel like i’m preparing for a marathon of sweet. a sweet, sweet wedding marathon. i just hope someone at the wedding has one of those foil blankets i can wrap myself up in once dessert is served.

[we’ll return to usual sprinklefingers posts soon. hopefully sunday. included: full wedding dessert details (because i know you’re dying to know what i’m doing with a gallon of fudge,) pumpkin butter, baked oatmeal, ideas for cortland apples AND a fantastic recipe for delicata squash. ‘tis the season!]

dinner time. lunch time. snack time.
i love food all the time. thankfully, i have a job that involves food.
which is fun. and amazing.

i’m a baker, and i own a bakery. i love to eat, and i love to cook - most importantly i love to share food with others.

and that’s what sprinklefingers is for - to share my food thoughts and dreams and wishes with you.

right now i’m wishing dinner was ready.
