i’m finally getting [really] excited.

up until this week, walking in to the space that will eventually be our new bakery simply overwhelmed me. but now, now that the tile is going in and the crummy window’s been replaced and the floors are level and the paint’s dry…it’s starting to feel a little bit more like home.

the landlord has a few more things to do for us, then the space becomes truly ours - a thought that’s both paralyzing and energizing all at once. so much to do in the coming weeks … of course i’ll keep you updated.

here’s what the space looked like during my daily visit yesterday. the view is from the kitchen looking out towards what will be the pastry cases and the seating area. gotta love those windows!
